Images You Analyze

When you use Prometheus to analyze an image, the image data is sent to our servers for processing. We use this data solely to provide you with analysis results.

• Images are processed in real-time and are not permanently stored on our servers
• Analysis results may be cached temporarily to improve performance
• If you save an analysis to your collection, the results (not the original image) are stored in your account

Account Information

To prevent spam and fake users, account sign-in with Google is required. When you sign in, we collect:

• Email address — to identify your account
• Display name — to personalize your experience
• Profile photo — to display in the extension interface

Account sign-in is mandatory to prevent spam and ensure the integrity of our platform.

Pinterest Integration

If you connect your Pinterest account, we access:

• Your public boards and pins (read-only)
• Images from pins you choose to analyze

We do not post to your Pinterest account or access private boards without your explicit selection.

Local Storage

The extension stores data locally on your device:

• Recent analysis history
• Your preferences and settings
• Cached data for offline access

This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly sync it by signing in.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide analysis of images you submit
• Generate references and context
• Create shareable cards
• Sync your saved collections across devices (if signed in)
• Improve and optimize the extension's performance

Third-Party Services

Prometheus uses the following third-party services:

• Google Firebase — for authentication, database, and cloud functions
• Pinterest API — for board integration (if connected)
